• Consequently, Sahure's consort queen Meretnebty, is only attested through carved reliefs found in the high temple.
• In more recent excavations blocks with depictions of the queen were found and her name is completely preserved as Meretnebty.
• Scenes discovered in Sahure's funerary temple, the causeway region, indicate, however, that Neferirkare may have been the son of Sahure and Queen Meretnebty.
