The African, Caribbean, and Pacific states that are associated with the European Union through the Lome Convention. This convention, which was signed at Lome (Togo)in 1975, provides for cooperation in matters of commerce between ACPstates and EU states, including access to the EU market for products from the ACPcountries. The Convention also provides for cooperation in industrial and financial matters.
