They can tell when the scriptures were written , by whom they were written , and the meanings therein . however , they do not genuinely understand because they have not had the divine experience . they have not had the experience of being an arhat , an eighth - grade bodhisattva , a tenth - grade bodhisattva , a buddha , or even the most elementary srota - apanna , sravaka , or pratyeka buddha 所以同样，很多人会看经念经会解释经典，这部经是什么时候作的谁讲的是什么意思，不过他不懂不了解，没有内边的神圣体验，没有阿罗汉的体验，没有八地菩萨十地菩萨或是佛的体验，连最后那个须陀洹也没有，连声闻缘觉也不懂的，所以才要修行观音法门，不然的话，为什么要修行？
